Kirsten Baldwin is our Vice Chair and currently works for the Internal Revenue Service as Chief of Branch 2 for the Philadelphia Payroll Center. She is a military spouse of 22 years, married to Retired SMSgt Jason Baldwin. She has two teenage boys and lives in Bossier Parish with her 3 dogs and 7 goats. Kirsten has dedicated her adult life to supporting her military spouse’s career and pursuing her calling of helping others through Human Resource management. Her passion is to help others gain employment, so they too can find their calling. She quickly attained knowledge of veterans’ hardships and the shortcomings of programs offered post military life. It was this knowledge coupled with her 15 years of experience in Human Resources that made her decide to find a cause that aligned with her passion to help veterans as they transitioned to civilian life. This is where she met the team of individuals who started VetFest. Kirsten has been with this committee since August of 2021. Her focus in GY6LA is collaborating with local resources and garnering employment opportunities for First Responders who are transitioning to their second career, post service. When Kirsten is not working full time in her HR role or volunteering with GY6LA, you can find her fishing, boating, supporting local breweries and local entertainment venues.
