Got Your 6 Louisiana is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes in accordance with Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
More specifically, it is dedicated to supporting the Shreveport/Bossier City (SBC) first responder community by providing resources (health services, mental health services, counseling, recovery, therapy, employment, etc...) through fundraising, solicitation of services, and community networking.
We started as a small group of like-minded individuals who had a common goal of helping Veterans. We started VetFest Louisiana with the idea of holding a festival that spotlighted local veteran owned businesses, and provided access to local non-profit veteran services that specialize in the mental wellness for vets.
After the 3rd annual VetFest, we decided to move to the next step and become a Non-Profit organization. This move will allow us to grow and provide more substantial resources for Veterans, and allow us to expand the organization to include all First Responders.
While we are still in the infancy stage as a non-profit we are now, more than ever, dedicated to networking, collaborating with the community, and garnering resources for all First Responders. Our mission is to have a network of mental health providers, therapists, alternative therapy programs, support groups, anonymous support avenues, transition assistance, employment, apprenticeships, and so much more.
We are a group of volunteers who are veterans, military spouses, and like-minded individuals who are all dedicated and have a passion for supporting our First Responders.
